A general crystal description is cube shape to irregular type.  A Type IIb diamond as identified by the GIA references are temperature sensitive and test with the diamond tester much like a metal and in fact it sets of the metal detector of standard diamond testers at about 35 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.  All stones have a hardness of 10 as tested with a professional hardness kit.  The type IIb diamond found at our site averages 1.5 carats and up to more than 200 carats in the rough forms.  It crystal form is often referred to as Platy.

Type IIb diamond is considered a rare diamond type by the GIA standards.  The variety of colors from our alluvial deposit is probably the most unique aspect of this new discovery.  For example, one carat of yellow diamond occurs in about 10,000 carats mined at other deposits.  Although, only a small amount of yellow diamond has been recovered, you might expect a higher per carat ratio maybe found latter.

The diamond deposit site is similar to that of the Russian diamond deposits, that is, not only diamond is often found , but garnet and spinals have also been recovered.  Other rough gems may include green flourite and zircon.  Some of the samples recovered are often giant in size, as well.
